Hello everybody and welcome back to In the Meadow with Kiki. I believe that every single one of us is meant to have a slice of this life beyond what our wildest dreams can imagine. And the path to that life is hidden in the very dreams that we hold in our heart, just waiting to be created. I want the meadow to be a break in the clouds, a breath of fresh air to show you what is truly possible in this life. In the meadow, we're done letting life pass us by the sidelines, seeing the same patterns keep us in the same place month after month, year after year. My mission is to give you all the tools, resources, inspiration and ideas to light a fire under your ass to stop waiting and finally take action towards those dreams that keep you up at night. So get ready to dive into the world of manifestation, psychology, energetics, creativity and a little dash of conscious entrepreneurship so that you have all the tools that you need to step into your next level dream reality. So join me as we walk down the path of a life beyond our wildest dreams all through the portal of the meadow. Let's go. Hello everybody and welcome back to In the Meta with Kiki. I am so happy to be here and I'm so happy you're here and welcome to another episode! I am feeling lit up and so inspired after last week's episode about non-negotiables and just staying committed to your devotion of your craft, of the work that you want to do in this world. And I'm also feeling a big shift in the cosmos right now. We are coming out of the thick of the Mercury and retrograde energy and moving from like the stickier, heavier fog of Leo season into the more energetic and confident and inspired, excited Leo season that we are so excited for. And so I'm definitely feeling that in the air. I know the people in my life are also feeling that in the air. And so I'm hoping that you also are feeling that in the air. And if you listened to last week's episode, I want to know how your non-negotiables are doing. This is me following up on my non-negotiable. I'm even recording in my bedroom right now because I usually record either in my living room or in my office. But since my boyfriend came home early and I committed to recording today, here I am doing the damn thing, even though the circumstances aren't perfect, but I'm showing up anyways. And so, yeah, I wanted to start today's episode off with a funny observation that I noticed. last week during the Lionsgate portal, I redid my little audio affirmation that I do every couple years where I do a voice memo talking as if I am living a day in my next level dream reality. know, like many years on the line what I want my dream life to look like and I haven't done one in a while and so I wanted to take that little magical night to do one. It's actually funny, that's the exact one that I used. manifest the apartment that i'm living in right now honestly it's crazy how similar the description of my dream first apartment in la is to the place that i'm living in now that i'm like all right it's time to make a new one but the reason i want to bring that up is because as i've been listening to the audios last week it's actually crazy how much of that like fantasy that i wrote out has to do with like the simplest things that I have access to every single day. Like it started off with like, oh, I'm in bed all cozy, just drinking a cup of tea after I had the most delicious bath ever. I lit a candle. Oh my gosh, it's so cozy. And then in the morning I woke up and had another tea and did my morning pages, did some stretching, some breathing, some EFT tapping. Now I'm ready to start my day. You know, like I think that we expect that our like dream reality is some like figment of our imagination that's a completely different reality than we live in today. But the truth is that even once you manifest your next dream house or a big mansion or a completely different reality than you're living in today, you're still going to be going through the motions of the day-to-day life in that new reality. You're still gonna have a morning, you're still gonna have an afternoon, you're still gonna have a night, so what are you gonna fill it with? We think that like somehow in our future mansion, tea is gonna taste better and our coffee is gonna smell nicer and you know, it's gonna be cozier to go to bed at night. And the reality is that once we get to that next level, it just becomes our reality and we have to do the inner work ourselves to find that deliciousness and presence in those moments. It's up to us. And it's not like something outside of us is somehow going to make us enjoy those moments more. We're not going to somehow start enjoying a bath more just because it's a nicer bathtub, even though we think that is the case. And of course, don't get me wrong, to a certain extent that is true, of course, but once we get accustomed to that next reality, it's just a bath. It's just a cup of tea. It's better, quote unquote, than what we're living in now. But once we're in there, once we're living in that reality, it just is. The same way that your Rolls Royce or your Porsche, or Porsche, whatever you say it, don't come at me. It ends up just being a car. Like, sorry to break it to you, but it doesn't mean that's not what we want to strive towards. Like if that's a dream that you have, like of course dream for it, go for it, but it ends up just being a car. So how are you going to be existing in that car on your way to work? How are you going to romanticize? your commute, you know? Just because you're rich doesn't mean that you're not gonna sit in traffic every once in a while, you know? And so I think that it's so difficult for us to acknowledge that because it's so much safer to just put everything to the future. It's so much easier to postpone our joy to a future reality that is not here yet because it's just easier. It's like, okay, well, I'm just gonna keep... like white knuckling it, just pushing and forcing and just like putting my head down foot by foot, moment by moment, getting there until I get to my dream life and then I'll be able to relax and actually enjoy it a little bit more. But the truth is that that future reality never comes. When we postpone our joy because of this never-ending goalpost that just keeps moving farther and farther away the seemingly closer we get to it, it's bullshit. It's a false perception of what reality is. Because how come you're not there yet? How come you've said this so many times? Once I get here, once I do that, once I get this job, this apartment, this house, this partner, then I'll be happy. How come you haven't gotten there yet? Why is it always something more, something farther down the line that is somehow going to be different this time? And so, yeah, I think this is just interesting to think about, like, as silly as it is to just think about drinking your tea or your coffee or just having a slow morning routine, like little things that like we have access to, how can we romanticize the fuck out of them? Like how can you get a different light bulb in your bedroom to make the lighting in your bedroom more romantic and cozy? How can you, you know, get new sheets maybe? Maybe you don't have a house. Maybe you can't buy a house just yet, but maybe you can buy a new pair of sheets that feel soft and feel different and feel cozy. that really help you romanticize the feeling of just tucking yourself into bed. And so that whenever you do drink your tea in the morning or get out of bed or like curl yourself into bed, how can you step into that energy of bliss and excitement and picture yourself in that future reality while focusing on the gratitude and the presence for this moment that you have right here and right now? Now, obviously the other parts of my letter weren't all tiny little details that I can tap into right now. But for example, like a big part of the letter that I wrote to myself of the audio had to do with my podcast and it's wild and abundant success and how it's changed my life. And of course I consider my podcast to be successful as it is, but the vision, the dream is a wild, abundant success that changes my life and is an entire business on its own. And although that's not something that I'm witnessing right now, how would that version of me be showing up every single week? If I had a successful podcast at that scale, how would I be pouring myself into the podcast now? I think that a hack to stepping into our future selves is looking at the dreams that we have and acting as if we just have to sustain them. Like, not rather, like rather than thinking about what we have to do to achieve it, what if we already had it? What would we be doing if we were just sustaining it? You know, like being consistent with it, keeping it up. big and successful podcasts don't just stop posting, that's literally like the last thing they would ever do. They just keep going because they have reached their success. So they just gotta keep moving because that's how they maintain that success. Like, you know, if you had the dream body that you aspire to have, how would that version of yourself maintain it? they would probably still be going to the gym every week. They don't just get it and then give up on it, you know? And so rather than only focusing on like the pursuit of achieving it, how would you be acting if you already had it? And a lot of the times it's going to look really similar to what you would be doing to build it and grow it. Of course, you got to delegate a lot more once you reach that level of success. But no matter what, you're still going to be showing up for it. I just think it's really interesting to think about the concept that like, yeah, like no matter if we are a millionaire or not, we're going to have the same 24 hours. know, if you are the wild successful business owner or musician, like how are you going to start your mornings? How are you going to tap into the energy that you want to step into in the mornings? I swear to God, like I know I bring it up all the time, but the energy that you step into in the morning dictates your entire day. Even if you can just like for a second, take a moment when you first open your eyes and take one deep breath of gratitude and being like, Oh, Okay, I'm alive. Got another day. Rather than letting the world and the weight of the world just start pounding at you and like stressing the fuck out and all the thoughts about like, you do today and what happened last night, like how you gotta get ready and get going and all the chitter chatter and like life shit that gets thrown on you, like what if you just take a moment to just breathe into this existence, this consciousness, the feeling, you know? I notice my mental health the way that it just plummets when I'm not carving out moments in the day to tap into that energy. It's like night and day difference. you know, we're always gonna have so many excuses as to why we don't want to do that or we shouldn't do that or it's a waste of time or it's indulgent. I think that all the things that I was talking about earlier as well can seem so indulgent like taking a longer bath and really savoring these moments and taking a longer, slower morning routines, it feels like your brain and society can be like, that is a waste of time. Like, what are you doing? You gotta get to work. You gotta keep going. And I think that it's just such medicine when we're able to recognize that that is actually like what we're meant to do to maintain a healthy life, to fill our cup enough to actually make a difference in this world, in our own realities, in our own lives. and how it's not an indulgent practice and maybe, you know, even if you do consider to be an indulgent practice, why not indulge? Why else are we here than to be able to just enjoy the simple things and like be able to be present with the life that we're already living in now? Like even the other night when I was doing that Lionsgate journaling moment, like I caught myself rushing through my bath and my little rose petal like full moon journaling moment like I was like rushing through because I was like, all right, like I only have a little bit of time. I got to get through it. Like, let's keep going. And then I was like, okay, dude, just relax. Let yourself enjoy this bath. Stop running. Where are you running? What are you doing? The more I slow down and the more that anybody just takes a moment to slow down, our nervous system has a moment to rest. I think it's like even such a practice to recognize when you're washing the dishes, when you're getting ready for work or whatever you're doing, like We just have a habit of tensing. Like even right now, like do you notice like where your tongue's sitting in your jaw? Like can you relax your jaw a little bit? Can you like relax your shoulders a little bit? Can you unclench? I'm doing that right now. I'm trying to unclench. So yeah, I think all of this comes back to waking the fuck up, okay? Waking up, getting out of our subconscious patterns and snapping into the new reality that we want to step into. We have to put less weight on the version of ourselves that we have always been. The way that we have always showed up, the way that we've fallen into the same patterns, starting and stopping and giving up, I feel like we have to recognize that we are in control and the version of ourselves that we used to be, everything that's happened in the past has nothing to do with where you're going. It is the old story and of course, you know, that dictates part of how you show up right now, but we have that conscious choice and awareness. to choose differently and wake the fuck up. Sometimes that means like changing your routine a little bit, know, going to a new cafe, going to a different route to work, whatever that means to you, which is shaking the energy up a little bit to wake the fuck up and get out of your old programming. We have the same thoughts constantly, day in, day out, they're not new. It's so boring. It's so fucking boring and it's so exhausting. our thoughts are the same and they've been the same for so long and we just accept it. we just accept it. with the thoughts that we have and the mean part of ourselves, we just accept it as truth and that it is just what it is. when in reality we are so much more than these negative fear-based thoughts that are running our life. it's so boring and we are here to rewire our neural pathways to choose differently and think differently and this is a big part of like Listening to podcasts like this reading books like this talking to people who have similar ideas and mindsets and Slowly rewiring our neural pathways into a new reality that we want to step into The things that you're here to create why not you? Why not you what story do you have in your mind? That's telling you that you're not the one that's supposed to be doing this or that you can't do this for this or that or whatever or even less about you, but like your circumstances. What story are you telling yourself that's keeping you from showing the fuck up? And how can you recognize that that story doesn't have to be real or true just because you've thought it so many times? You know, maybe you might think that you're just a little more shy or you have stage fright. Or that you procrastinate or you have such bad ADHD that you can't focus and let like that means that you can't do the things that you dream of doing if you have a dream to do something if it's in your heart that means that you are here to do that thing and You have to trust it. You have to trust your impulses You have to trust your intuition the callings that you have the ideas that just won't leave you alone that keep coming back again and again and again and again you have to trust and follow those impulses and know that there's something there. It doesn't mean that every single poll is gonna lead you to exactly the life path of like your big life's purpose. They change and they flow. One poll will bring you to one idea and project that you might work on and then let go of and then that leads you to one that is even more fulfilling and maybe that one leads you to the next thing and whatever it is, it's like that is how you go down the path of the life of your dreams that you follow those tugs and you follow those impulses and you trust. that when you're following your heart and you're following your excitement that it's guiding you. You follow your excitement, you follow your interests, you follow your fear. You follow the things that scare you, you follow the things that stretch you and pull you out of your comfort zone. That would probably be a lot more comfortable just to not. And that's where you know that that's what you're supposed to be doing. And put less pressure on needing it to be all perfect and all right and it has to be the right choice because there is no right choices. bullshit that doesn't exist. there is no right step or right choice. there's an infinite amount of choices and you just have to trust that you just gotta choose and it's gonna guide you even if it's not the right quote-unquote choice. and i know that's fucking scary to hear because we all want to just be able to be given this blueprint of a just guaranteed successful life path that's just gonna guide us exactly where we want to go with no rockiness and just just Guiding us lovingly, gently down the path, but the truth is that we're never gonna know. You just gotta get moving. You just gotta take that imperfect action and move forward and trust that it's going to guide you to where you are meant to be. The mountain that you need to climb is you. It's a game against you and you. The mountain is you. Let's life. There's no one who's getting in your way as much as you are. So not only do you have to fight against your own inner critic and your own inner limiting beliefs and your own negative self-talk, but you also have to believe in yourself and trust yourself and give yourself the validation and the pat on your back that you crave from others. Because of course, like I am the biggest culprit of desperately wanting the validation of others to keep me going and push me forward. Like I desperately want people to be like, oh you're doing great, you know, here's the pat on your back, like keep going Kiki, like you're killing it. And of course it's great when you get it, but it's unsustainable. If you're always relying on someone outside of you to keep pushing you forward and like helping you believe in yourself, you're always gonna fall backwards. So you have to learn how to cultivate that inner, that inner relationship with yourself where you are cheering yourself on. You are your biggest cheerleader. You are... the one who is recognizing your accomplishments and recognizing your growth and trusting in your dreams and trusting in your visions and trusting in the projects that you want to bring out to the world, you cannot wait on the world to trust it for you. Because then it might never come out. And just know that the creative path and the creative act is the deepest, most wild and unknown path because it doesn't exist yet. Like that's the craziest thing about creation and creativity. It's like It doesn't exist. It's existing in your mind waiting to be birthed through you. So no wonder it's hard to trust. It's not here yet. So much of what we want to do hasn't been done in the way that we are here to do it because there's only one of us. Whatever is bubbling up to the surface of your creativity, you gotta just let it out. Let it boil over. Let it explode out of you. Put the story down. Whatever story is keeping you stuck, put it down. Let it go. And do the damn thing, baby. At end of the day, as we all know, the universe responds to what you are, not what you want. And so when you are in the being of it, when you are showing up as a version of yourself, who's doing the damn thing, putting yourself out there, making the creations, trusting yourself, The universe reacts to that. It magnetizes things that are on that same energetic frequency and it pulls it towards you. Whether those are ideas, people, inspiration, experiences, but you gotta be in the act of doing it. You cannot be sitting in the parking lot. You gotta get into the game. We're always sitting in the fucking parking lot waiting, like wondering why things aren't happening. You know, wonder things aren't happening because you're not doing it. You're not doing the damn thing. You're not putting yourself out there. You're not creating it. It's like we wonder why things aren't moving. It's because we aren't moving. We gotta get moving and start showing up as a version of ourselves who's already there, who's already doing it. We gotta get in the game and make it happen for ourselves. Even when we don't know what the fuck to do. So often, we don't know what that perfect next step is. But there's something. There is something out there that we know we can do. You just got to do it even if you don't know if it is the perfect next step because there is no next perfect step It does not fucking exist. There is no way there's no way that you can get guaranteed first step I Love the idea that I mean I say I love it, but honestly, it's excruciating I hate it, but it's really just push me where successful people are only successful because they just got better at committing and making decisions and moving forward people who are successful are the ones who have failed the most. Get that into your brain. The people who are the most successful are the ones who have failed the most. How does that sound? What does that do to your body when you hear that? Does that like give you some sort of relief? Does it scare the shit out of you? Probably a little bit of both. But we have to just stop being so precious about the decisions that we make and the actions that we take and just go for life is so short, know? Balancing the feeling of like knowing that we can be patient with ourselves and that we have time and that life is actually really short and there's no better time than today. Another contradictory truth that as we all know this work is full of contradictions and in order to move forward with reality creation is that you have to make peace with contradictions because You know, one truth is that it can be hard to put yourself out of your comfort zone and... Vulnerably let your heart out and create the worth that you want to create and push through resistance. But then the other side of the same coin is that it gets to be easy. I think we overcomplicate it so much. We overcomplicate our expression and our creativity and we make it a lot more difficult than it needs to be. And I think that a lot of the reason we have so much resistance is that we... make it so much more difficult. so recognizing that it gets to be easy, it gets to be light, it gets to be fun, it gets to be play. Tap into play and wonder and curiosity and expression and use that energy to tap into your magic. Not the stressful, intense pressure and expectations, but lightness, softness, openness. Let it flow through you. Cultivate the space for it to be let out. Allow yourself to sit in silence more, to create that spaciousness more, to connect, to allow it to move through you. Silence the noise, put your phone down. Get off the damn phone. Talking to myself, just as much. We need spaciousness for our creativity to be let out, and we really don't allow that very often. So if you're feeling stuck, just take a moment to breathe, to sit still, to create some space, put some music on, put your headphones on, lay outside, lay down. Just take a moment to sit and ask yourself, what is the next step? What is the next step? What is the next step? messy, aligned action that I can take towards my dreams. What is that? That I can do right now to move the needle forward and make progress, even if it's small, even if it's big. I want your homework. When you turn off this podcast, do exactly just that. Five minutes. You might be crawling out of your seat if this isn't something you do very often, but please promise me you're going to put some calming music on, you're gonna take a couple minutes, put a timer on, and just sit there and allow the wisdom to come through you. Allow the answers to be given to you. The questions that we ask are the most important things that we'll ever do. The questions that we ask dictate the life that we're gonna live. So when you ask yourself, like, all right, what's next? What can I do to move the needle forward? What can I do to push myself towards this path? What is the very best next step? Let it come to you and do it. So thank you guys for joining me in the meadow today. I love you all so much. If you enjoyed this episode, please send it to a friend.
